CMS Websites

Simple to use Content Management System software makes putting photos of your latest job or adding articles very easy for you to display to potential clients how good the standard of your work is.

A high percentage of people now search online for businesses in their area to use, I personally haven't used a phone book or yellow pages in ages.
Why, because it's all online and much quicker to find.
Compared to advertising, an online presence is quite cheap really.

Making a website is now much easier using CMS software.  An easy to use pre built software system that is user friendly.
So now you're wondering what is needed to have a website.

  • A domain name  = The address of your site.  Also used for email.
  • A linux web hosting package with enough space & MySQL , PHP5+  = This will be where the site resides.
  • Template that suits the look you want  = Colour scheme etc & Structure.
  • Install the CMS software and chosen templates.
  • FTP Access
  • A few tips or some training.
  • Add the Content

It might sound a little bit complicated but it's not hard to learn and if you get stuck this is where I come in.
I can just advise if your think you could handle the software or wish to learn it yourself.
I can install everything and manage the content and all stages in between.

All prices will vary depending on hosting used / domain name / but the software remains free.
There are also some site addons i.e. Modules / components / that you will have to pay for but this depends on your sites requirements but many extensions are free.

All you pay Ashingdon IT is for the time taken to setup the site or a donation for advice given.  Your site can be up and running in 24 hours but it takes time adding modules, components & plugins. These often need some fiddling with to get them working how you want.  This is where some technical knowledge is needed.

All sites setup by me include cms software security updates free of charge for 1 year.

You will own your site, have access to its files and folders and be able to move it if you desire.
It really isn't hard to have a professional looking site.
