VIRUS & SPYWARE CLEANING

No matter how careful you are online there is no escaping these internet badies.  Virus software has managed to stop most computers from becoming infected but there are always new ways of infecting your computer.

I offer a cleaning service that will help to get your computer back to running how it should be.  Some support people think windows repair or just format the hard drive and start again but I prefer to manually clean your hard drive and format is just used as a last resort.  I try to protect all your valuable files and photo's and if windows repair or format is needed I make a complete back up before I start.

So if your computer is behaving badly you probably have some spyware running on it or maybe even a virus.  Don't leave this until it's too late, get it cleaned as soon as possible.  The sooner you get it cleaned the better.

If you don't have up to date anti virus software on your computer then you are already infected with both viruses and spyware.  There are some very good FREE programs that you can download to keep viruses and spyware off your computer.

Anti Virus  AVG Free This anti virus program is actually very good and updates itself while your connected to the internet.  I use this on my personal computer and it works great.  Doing a full system scan can take forever but so do most other anti virus programs.  Once you have AVG installed it puts an icon in your toolbar and keeps you up to date with a visual colour warning system i.e. If it turns grey it needs your attention but if it shows in colour all is well.  Highly recommend this software get it here : http://free.avg.com/ww.download?prd=afe

The harmless ones just report to the website owners what pages you looked at while visiting their site.

Keystroke Recorders

These are very dangerous forms of spyware because they record every key pressed on your keyboard and if like many people these days you Shop online, Bank online and enter passwords or credit card numbers you could be giving someone your valuable information without knowing it.

Browser Hijackers

These can be very annoying, every time you open Internet Explorer it opens on a website you don't want to go to.  Common versions of these open up search sites but they can also open up the less desirable site to.  To check if you have one of these open Internet Explorer see what web page opens then click on TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS at the top and see if the HOME PAGE matches the site now open in Internet Explorer.
